Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America, is an actress and singer. She was born in Huntington Woods and raised there. Bell is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier and Tom Bell. Her ancestry is Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish and Scottish (father). Kristen discovered her talents within the industry of entertainment at a young age. She was cast in the role of Raggedy Ann in 1992 after attending her first audition. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother before the age of 13 and was cast as a model on advertisements on television and newspapers. In the same year Bell also started classes in acting. Bell was as a guest in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998, as an uncredited actress. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School where she was involved in music and drama club. The Wizard of Oz production in her high school earned Bell the role of the lead Dorothy character. Bell attended New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theater following her graduating. Bell dropped out of studying in the year 2001 and assumed the role of Becky the character of Tom Sawyer. In the was the same year that she also had her first credit debut in Pootie Tang (2001), but her scene was cut and her appearance exists only in the credit sequence. Bell was in the Broadway revival of The Crucible starring Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
